HP Lovecraft's The statement of randolph carter

Directed by Matthew Barnes - The Garage, Norwich 2016, June 17th 20:00

"I reply that I know nothing beyond what I saw. Vision or nightmare it may have been—vision or nightmare I fervently hope it was—yet it is all that my mind retains of what took place in those shocking hours after we left the sight of men. And why Harley Warren did not return, he or his shade—or some nameless thing I cannot describe—alone can tell."

The Statement Of Randolph Carter

The Strange occultist Harley Warren has gone missing. Any hopes of finding him rest with his companion, who was discovered on the edge of a swamp without any recollection of the previous nights events. What has caused him to lose his memory? And what is this book he keeps stammering about?

Audience reviews

"Very atmospheric and weird. Excellent use of live Foley sound work combined with impressive acting makes both these tales of literal descents into madness truly

spellbinding."

"A ghoulishly, captivating telling of two stories. The intense darkness and the uncanny sound effects made for a very enjoyable and if not a slightly unsettling evening"

"An enjoyably spooky evening! I particularly liked the second story, as I hadn't read that one before. Sound effects particularly good."
